Is there a minimum or maximum number of students to hold a course?

E
C

We require a minimum of 15 students in order to hold a course, but generally speaking there is no maximum in most of our courses.

Will a training certificate be provided?

E
C
Yes we provide a training certificate that also identifies the number of hours in each course.

Will students receive a receipt for the tuition?

E
C
Yes, each student will receive an invoice or receipt once tuition has been paid.

Can an agency substitute a student once tuition has been paid?

E
C
Yes, we only require a letter authorizing the substitution on your agency letterhead for our records.

Does the host agency have to use the free slots for that particular course or can they use them for another Second Look course?

E
C

We prefer it; but we can usually work something out.

Course Cancellation Policy

If you have any questions regarding our course cancellation policy, please contact us at

[email protected]

What is your cancellation policy?

E
C
If a student enrolls and later withdraws from a course, a complete refund is made if it is within 14 days of the class start. If within 7 days a $50.00 fee will be assessed and the remainder refunded. The exception to the 7 day rule is a subpoena for court, medical emergency, or death in the family. An agency emergency will also be considered. We only ask for proper documentation to validate the situation.

What happens if I'm a no show?

E
C
Unfortunately if you are unable to make the course and you have not properly canceled your attendance and simply do not show up then we do not refund the tuition. This is important because we have a minimum student level to hold these courses. So if you were the 15th person which allowed us to deliver the course, we counted on your tuition to defray the costs of instruction. We can and will work with you. Please let us know when these situations arise with as much lead time as possible. The exception to this policy is a subpoena, medical emergency, death in family, or agency emergency.

If I have to cancel, can I attend another course in lieu of a refund?

E
C
Yes. We are willing to work with students providing the course tuition is the same and the cancellation was made in accordance with our policy.

What if Second Look has to cancel?

E
C
We hope this does not happen, but sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control, especially if we do not have the minimum number of students for us to provide the training. In these situations Second Look will make every effort to notify each student and provide refunds quickly. Our goal is to make these determinations at least 14 days prior to the start of a course.
